WotLK Enchanting Guide: Turbo-Boost Leveling from 1 to 450

The following guide is an overview of how to go from level 1 all the way to level 450 in the enchanting profession during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion of World of Warcraft. This guide can be followed for the WoW: Classic iteration of the expansion.

Enchanting is split into three sections in WotLK, which include classic (1-300), master (300-350), and finally grand master (350-450). All three sections will be covered.

To follow this leveling guide, you will need to gather materials beforehand. A list of required materials will be displayed at the end which covers all of the materials needed to follow each step of the guide.

Some materials may go unused, due to the way that RNG works with regards to leveling professions. In some cases, you may even need more, if you have very bad RNG.

General Enchanting Tips:

• It is advised that you sell off your inventory once you finish the guide since most of the materials and things you craft will be used in later crafting recipes.
• This guide will require you to have access to Northrend zones to receive Grand Master training. Subsequently, having access to these zones will mean you have access to the Outland zones necessary to obtain Master training.

Apprentice 1-75:

Steps

• Start by crafting 1 Ruined Copper Rod. You will need this later.
• Craft 50 Enchant Bracer – Minor Health or until you reach enchanting 50.
• Craft around 25 Enchant Bracer Minor Health until you reach 75.

Journeyman 75-150:

Steps

• Continue crafting Enchant Bracer – Minor Health until you reach level 90.
• Craft 10 Enchant Bracer – Minor Stamina.
• Craft 1 Runed Silver Rod.
• Craft 10 Greater Magic Wand. You should aim to be level 110 by now.
• Craft 20 Enchant Cloak – Minor Agility.
• Craft Enchant Bracer – Lesser Stamina until you reach 150. 

Expert 150-225:

Steps

• Begin by crafting 5 Enchant Bracer – Lesser Stamina to get 155.
• Craft 1 Runed Golden Rod for later.
• Craft approximately 30 Enchant Bracer – Lesser Strength, or until you reach 185.
• Craft 20 Enchant Bracer – Strength.
• Craft 1 Runed Truesilver Rod. You should be 205 now.
• Craft Enchant Cloak – Greater Defense until 225.

Artisan 225-300:

Steps

• Craft 5 Enchant Gloves – Agility.
• Craft 5 Enchant Boots – Stamina.
• Craft 5 Enchant Chest – Superior Health.
• Craft 5 Enchant Boots – Lesser Accuracy. You should get to 245 at this stage.
• Craft 50 Enchant Bracer – Greater Stamina, or until 285.
• Craft Enchant Shield – Greater Stamina until 299.
• Finish by crafting 1 Runed Arcanite Rod. You should reach 300.

Master 300-350:

You will need to obtain master training from an Outland enchanting trainer. These can be found either in Shattrath or in your faction’s major outpost in Hellfire Citadel.

Steps

• Craft 1 Runed Fel Iron Rod.
• Craft 9 Enchant Bracer – Assault.
• Craft 5 Enchant Bracer – Brawn.
• Craft 10 Enchant Gloves – Assault. You should get to 325 at this stage.
• Craft 10 Enchant Shield – Major Stamina.
• Craft 5 Enchant Shield – Resilience.
• Finish by crafting 10 Superior Wizard Oil, which should get you to 350.

Grand Master 350-450:

You will need to obtain grand master training from a Northrend enchanting trainer. These can be found either in Dalaran or in your faction’s major outpost in either Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord. Both factions have a trainer in each zone, the coordinates of which can be found online.

Steps

• Craft 1 Runed Adamantite Rod. This is technically a master item, but still needed.
• Next, craft 9 Enchant Cloak -Speed.
• Craft 15 Enchant Bracers – Striking.
• Craft 1 Runed Eternium Rod, which should get you to 375.
• Craft 5 Enchant Bracers – Striking.
• Craft 5 Enchant Bracers – Exception Intellect.
• Craft 10 Enchant Boots – Icewalker.
• Reach 415 by crafting 20 Enchant Cloak – Superior Agility.
• Craft Enchant Boots – Greater Spirit until you reach 420.
• Craft 5 Enchant Shield – Defense.
• Craft 5 Enchant Chest – Greater Mana Restoration.
• Craft a single Runed Titanium Rod.
• Craft 4 Enchant Cloak – Mighty Armor. You should be 435 by this stage.
• To reach 445, craft 10 Enchant Gloves, Armsman.
• And finally, craft as many Enchant Boots – Greater Assault as it takes to reach 450.

Congratulations! You should now be level 450 in enchanting, reaching the end of this guide. You may find you need to craft a few more pieces than mentioned, which is expected.

You should have ample materials to do so, should you have collected all the ones mentioned at the beginning of this guide. You may sell all of your materials also at this stage. However, you may want to hold on to any WotLK materials for future crafting.
